Can be used in drip filters, denitrification reactors, and in larger aquaculture systems. The flat plate structure with clean paths between the discs ensures a very even distribution of the water, which means that Bactoball will not come together or clog. The 300 m2 / m3 large surface area is for high concentration of bacterial biomass.
